We have an install base of Cisco Prisma II EDFAs that supports our IPTV offering. We worked with Genesis to substantially reduce our maintenance costs on this product line. Cisco does not have a direct replacement, and this product is critical in our network, so having a 3rd party option was crucial for us. We had hundreds of EDFAs that had end-of-life lasers. Genesis was able to refurbish the EDFAs, replacing the lasers thus extending the life of the product.
